A couple weeks ago, my friend Kyle and I went out painting. Using oils and a sheet of plexi-glass, I painted on the plexi. I then walked on top of a thick cardboard tube with a towel between the tube and the paper to make a print

Figurative Studies
My friend Kyle and I go to a drawing group every month and we draw from the figure. Here's some studies
Recent Works
Lately I've been playing around with water and paint. The effects are interesting and watching the paint move in the water is also pretty neat. I stand and stare at the movement happening on the glass and capture moments of excitement.
When I make prints it feels like I'm flying by the seat of my pants. This time, while the print was on the floor (my drying rack, my bed also serves this purpose), I stepped on it, intentionally. You can see the lines in my foot print, which, according to my brother Tanner, "Looks pretty rad man!"
I added soap bubbles to this, just to see what effect would occur
While making the print I vary what I do. The paper is semi water resistant and allows for the color to sit on the surface and move around instead of being absorbed. The color runs and drips, showing the process
My First Show
Getting pieces together for my first art show. The show is currently up at the Kettle and Cup in Reedsburg, Wisconsin. There will be an open mic and meet the artist night Thursday June 19th from 7 til 9. Hope to see you there!
My friends Kyle Martin, Erik 'Dubs' Williams, and two of my younger brothers all helped in making and assembling the frames and picking out pieces for my show. In fact, while Kyle and I were putting the frames together, my youngest brother, Ben, decided it'd be nice to incorporate his own touch to the prints and spilled his freeze-pop all over a couple of them. At first I didn't know what to think, but upon further review, it provided an interesting effect when smeared in attempt to wipe it off. Thank you to everyone who helped me!
